Across the Atlantic; Sister School with Lincoln High School!

EduCongo’s sponsored school in the Democratic Republic of Congo, La Decouverte, (The Discovery School) is proud to partner with Oregon based Lincoln High School, one of America’s Best High Schools (rated by US News and World Report 2012). This Sister School partnership connects leaders, staff, parents, community members and students from these schools on both sides of the Atlantic and provides opportunities for exchanges, sharing best practices, cross cultural communication and special projects.

In April of 2012, EduCongo‘s co-founder & Executive Director Lou Radja, Lincoln High School senior Anna Cramer (The heart and soul of this project and founder of Kids for the Congo, a student club at Lincoln High School currently raising funds -over $8,000 already raised- for the purchase and shipping of a bus to Congo), Anna’s father Marc Cramer and International Studies Cordinator & ELD Instructional Specialist Tonya Mjelde flew to Congo for the official Sister School Ceremony.
